Thanksgiving is all about celebrating nature’s bounty and showing your gratitude for all of life’s blessings.
Whether you are busy planning for an intimate family dinner or for a friendsgiving feast, we have some quick tips and ideas to take your everyday dinner table to an inviting festive table setting. Your guests will appreciate and love the simplicity and attention to details!
Inspired by nature and earthy autumn colors, we transformed our Thanksgiving table into a memorable tablescape using everyday objects. Moving away from a traditional formal setting, we went for a fuss-free, casual approach. A mix of matte blacks, muted browns, accented with rich autumnal hues and metallic finishes were perfect for the rustic refined look. Instead of focusing on a large centerpiece, we opted to create individual personalized pieces . These also act as beautiful favors for your guests to take back home…with any leftover pie!! Of course we’ve got to have pie!!
We carved seasonal gourds to act as vases, and filled them with succulents in moody fall colors. A simple, yarn-wrapped wooden tag adds height and a meaningful touch to the centerpiece. Magnolia leaves found in the backyard, with metallic pen handwriting, act as nametags. It’s perfectly imperfect, and a great way to bring nature indoors.
In true Rock Paper Streamers style, the kraft paper table runner with metallic swirls adds a playful organic touch, and is a breeze to clean up after. Berry clippings, mini crab apples from the backyard tree, and luscious orange persimmons sprinkled artfully around the table add a subtle punch of color. Tealights add warmth without blocking your view, making it easier to chat with friends and grab seconds!!
As you can tell we had a very special guest at our table! Rock Paper Streamers wishes you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. We hope that we have inspired you to get creative with your own Thanksgiving decor, and introduce some natural elements that inspire you. We’d love to see your party table settings at #rockpaperstreamers.
